Elaine has been commissioned by Wellcome Collection to work as lead artist on a project that connects with their forthcoming exhibition entitled ‘Miracles and Charms’ and The Bloomsbury Festival.

Elaine was invited to do the keynote speech at a conference entitled ‘The Language of Illness and Pain’ at Birkbeck College, London University. She spoke on aspects of ‘The Dreadful and The Divine’ which connected with her exhibition at The Royal College of Surgeons earlier in the year.

Elaine was commissioned by The Bloomsbury Festival, 2010 to make some work for outdoor display in a sunken garden. She used the opportunity to further explore printing her photographic images onto mirror. The pieces blend in with their surroundings and only come into view if sufficient light makes them glint. Their appearance is always changing depending on the time of day.
